Following a jury trial on one count of rape, I.C. Â§ 18-6101(3), the jury found Karl Bolton guilty of battery with intent to commit rape, I.C. Â§ 18-911, and the district court imposed a unified sentence of fifteen years in the custody of the Board of Correction with a five-year minimum period of confinement. Bolton appeals from the judgment of conviction arguing that the jurys verdict is inconsistent with its findings, that the verdict is not supported by sufficient evidence, and that the sentence imposed is excessive. For the reasons stated below, we affirm.
